For three straight month Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has out raised President Obama… the republicans have brought in more that $284 million dollars compared to President Obama and the Democrats $206 million. And unlike the Democratic party, Republicans are not burning through money. So far, President Obama and his team have continuously spent more money than they have risen. In fact, Republican sources predict come Labor Day they could have a two to one spending advantage over the President. Romney is now using this as part of his fundraising pitch, saying to donors, “you’ve perhaps noticed in the papers, we’re a little wiser in our spending of dollars than the other side, apparently. I’m not managing their campaign, but we’re going to spend our money wisely, we’re going to spend it to win.” The money race has become critical in the presidential campaign, which is expected to cost more than $1 billion. Obama is not only losing the money race but also is being outspent on the airwaves, thanks to millions of dollars in ads from independent “super” political committees funded by wealthy donors who oppose Obama and his policies. An Obama spokeswoman said the campaign’s not panicking and says fundraising is on track to produce “the biggest grass-roots campaign in history.
